Hey, what's going on everybody?

I'm Francisco Lindor and these are my 10 essentials.

[upbeat music]

A bat is definitely an essential.

It's part of my daily job, but it's not because of that.

It's, well, it is because of that.

There's a bat in every corner in my house,

whether it's in my closet, my daughter's room,

and it's just, I feel like taking swings

and it just puts me in that state of mind

of like there's always something that I can improve on.

I envision pictures. I'm big into visualizing it.

I just grab my bat around the house

and I work on my mechanics and just getting better.

I'll probably use 35 to 50 bats in a year.

Not that I break that many, but over time,

you just get tired of looking at the same one

that's all beat up.

You just get a new one.

That's the perks of playing in the big leagues.

Every year I choose one or two colors

and I stick with them throughout the whole year.

And this year is gonna be the orange

with the flame-tempered handle.

And I think it's just clean, classy,

but also screams Francisco Lindor.

[upbeat music continues]

These are my Lindor 2s.

Me being a sneakerhead, I have my own line with New Balance.

I want to be able to mine on and off the field,

not just in the batting cages.

I wanted to go everywhere with them.

So I put a basketball sole on them

so I can transition from one place to a different one.

Just wanted to make it more lifestyle.

Here it says be consistent,

which is something my dad have always told me.

And then staying positive.

This is definitely one of my essentials.

This is one of my favorite watches,

F.P. Journe Vertical Tourbillon.

Made out of gold, it's something that's hard to do.

Extremely elegant, subtle, understated,

something that I could wear to a lot of different places

and people don't really know what it is.

And I love that.

My accessories, I want it to be subtle, clean, simple,

to be able to wear 'em in different places around the world.

So, the one I'm wearing is a Supersonneire,

which is also a fantastic watch.

It's black on black.

And one of the coolest things of this watch

is I can make it chime. [watch chiming]

So it tells me the time.

I don't have to look at it

and I know exactly what time it is.

[upbeat music continues]

My bicycles, they don't fit here

and I didn't wanna travel with them

so I couldn't bring them.

Everyone that is really close to me knows I love cycling.

It's something I picked up

since I was a little kid with my brother.

He was the one that taught me how to ride a bike.

To be able to go for three, four hours,

no headphones and just look at the road,

something that brings peace to me.

You know, I have my Pinarello F12, orange,

and then I have my F Dogma Pinarello as well.

I'm a Pinarello guy.

I dress up. I think I'm a professional cyclist.

I'm nowhere near them

'cause every time I'm three hours in the saddle,

I'm questioning myself.

Why am I doing this?

I don't ride in New York. [laughs]

I ride back home in Florida

where the streets are a little bit better than New York

and the drivers are not as crazy.

[upbeat music continues]

This is a product that I recently found, the K18 product.

Since I bleach my hair and I do colors

and all that crazy stuff,

this helps with my breakage of my curls.

And then now that I'm braiding my hair a lot,

oil is very essential, you know, to keep the scalp hydrated

and to make sure you don't get a lot of dandruff.

I'm big into hair. I care about hair.

I think it's part of people's DNA.

It's literally my roots,

literally will come through my hair.

[upbeat music continues]

People know me as Mr. Smile. Some people know me as that.

Some people know me [speaks in foreign language].

I tell my wife with my daughters,

these are non-negotiables in the house.

This is part of the non-negotiables.

We gotta brush our teeth morning and night.

There's nothing better than a clean mouth.

You know, when you start brushing and you finish

and you go anywhere, you feel so much more confident

when your mouth don't stink. [laughs]

[upbeat music continues]

Another big essential in my life is Oakley glasses.

This past year I've been rocking

a lot of the old school metal frames

and this is the Juliet and this is the Mag Fours.

Sunglasses make me feel some type of way, you know?

It's like sometimes I put 'em on

and then it's just like, don't talk to me.

I'm in my own world.

I have a joke with my daughter

that when I put the the sunglasses on, I'm Miguel.

And when I take them off, I'm Francisco.

So when I have glasses on, I'm Miguel. Don't talk to me.

I'm not Francisco. Don't call me Lindor.

Same thing with my daughter.

My daughter said she puts the glasses, she's Soway,

and when she takes the glasses off, she's Kalina.

So yeah, it just makes you feel some type of way.

[upbeat music continues]

This ring, I have the matching ring with my wife.

It symbolize, this part symbolize half a heart.

She has the other one.

And then this is, she has the matching one, red ruby.

I initially bought 'em to do earrings.

And then I had the idea of creating a ring

that we can both have and match.

This symbolizes the same thing.

This is Amapola, my daughter, this is the her birthstone

and I have different ones that I use.

Once I got married, I started using the rings

and everything else, it just became more like accessories.

Like I'm big into accessories.

Same thing with the necklace.

[upbeat music continues]

The necklace symbolize my family.

The different color schemes I have, different birthstones.

It has hearts, it's got squares, it's got circles.

It symbolize how life to me is,

that not everything is the same.

not everyone's the same,

but you gotta treat 'em the same,

with the same amount of respect.

This was made by Material Goods.

Close friends over there, Yoni, and he helped me with this.

And somebody I look up to, Pharrell,

he has something similar.

Styles are usually come from somebody, you know?

Whether it was back in the '80s or '70s or '90s,

whatever era, you always look at people,

and from there you try to get something from that era

and you try to bring it back.

And that's kind of how I do with my style.

[upbeat music continues]

Perfume is very important.

I feel like you don't wanna smell bad.

I think it started with my mom growing up.

She always had something spraying on herself or in the car

or me when I come out of a baseball field

and I smell, she was just spraying something on me.

It just makes you feel fresh.

And yeah, this is a good one.

This is not the one that should be worn today.

But I always lie.

Whenever somebody asks me about what I'm wearing, I lied.

So, if I tell you something that I'm wearing, it's not that.

I'm lying to you, just know that I'm lying to you.

'Cause I don't want you to smell like me.

I might tell you three different things

and you're gonna go and you're gonna grab 'em.

You're gonna put 'em on and you will never smell like me

'cause I will never give you what I'm wearing that day.

Thank you GQ, for watching. I appreciate it.

I hope you guys liked it.
