Hey, GQ, this is Pat Surtain
and this is how I spent my first million.
[gentle upbeat music]
So the first thing I spent was 80K on jewelry.
I came to draft night with a PS2 pendant,
shout out my boy Leo Frost
for putting it all together.
Leo, I think he's very creative, you know,
when me and him went to the drawing board
to put the pieces together, it was definitely a cool moment.
We knew it was gonna be a special night,
and why not make a one of one piece?
It went viral, all the magazines, GQ.
It lights up, by the way.
And I also got some grills from him as well too.
I still got those pieces together. I barely wear it.
I mean I don't try to be too flashy
when I pop out sometimes,
I wear pretty subtle pieces,
like this one right here, this emerald tennis chain,
so, you know, I try to not flash too much
with my jur, keep it low key.
[upbeat music]
So the next thing I spent my first million on
was a 100K to charity.
I'm big on giving back to the community.
My pops, he was a big role model.
He was also a class act in the community.
So seeing the way how he handled things,
it definitely inspired me to create a foundation of my own.
My foundation mission is to level the playing field
for students who's at a financial disadvantage
compared to their suburban peers, you know,
to allow them to achieve whatever they want in the future.
I started a STEM program,
which is a program that granted kids specialized classrooms.
STEM stands for Science, Technology, English, Arts and Math.
So I put all of those specific pillars together
to create a specialized room for the kids.
To accomplish that was so great.
Why not spend a 100K and give it towards charity?
[upbeat music]
Two hundred,
and 50K,
I bought my mom a nice 2022 Range Rover.
It's something that she's always wanted.
Her unwavering love and support is very valuable to me.
So, you know, why not show my support, give it back to her.
This was a car that she always talked about.
I remember she was telling me how bad she wanted this car.
The price was a little hefty I ain't gonna lie,
but it's worth it at the end of the day.
You know, you gotta do it all for moms.
I got like a nice little kit added it to it,
a nice little carbon fiber kit.
A red ribbon.
I had a driver drive it through and I surprised her.
She was crying, I mean, you know, moms get pretty emotional.
Yeah, I definitely enjoyed that moment.
My family was all surprised, shocked.
Moms came out crying, that was special
and something that I would definitely wanna relive again,
for sure.
[upbeat music]
I spent some good-earned money on myself,
you know what I mean?
Show myself some love.
So I spent 300K on my first vehicle, my first whip.
It was a Mercedes GLE 63 S coup.
It's always been my dream car.
I always loved Mercedes
and this was a one ride I needed to have
and to add on to it,
I had my boy, Herm, Roadshow International out in Atlanta,
I had him deck it out,
had 'em fully customize it from the exterior.
I had it wrapped, interior all blue.
I even had my PS2 logo, special speakers in the back,
if I was to, you know, turn the volume up just a tad bit.
I mean the speakers, you could just hear it
all the surround sound through the vehicle
so everything was decked out, Forgiato rims.
It was my dream car so I was like,
If I'm gonna get my dream car,
I might as well do my big one. [chuckling]
I still have it. Ride it every day.
Pretty good on miles still, you know?
So I love that car man.
Next dream car, a Rolls Royce.
That's my next dream one.
Very classy, very luxurious vehicle, a nice ride.
So it's something I gotta have
and add to the next collection, for sure.
[upbeat music]
So the next big purchase was a down payment on my crib,
which was 200K.
Obviously you need that crib, that added touch.
I got a nice crib out in Colorado, put down 200K,
you know, a nice, reasonable amount.
I mean obviously a crib is very beneficial.
You need one.
A nice crib to relax in, I normally just be in crib
all day doing nothing, spending time with me,
my family, so it is definitely worth it.
I got my own little man cave in the basement
where I play my games at, where I spend most of my time at.
Just staying cozy, chilling, laid back.
I got a gym down there, a pool table.
So it's like a nice man cave
while I spend time to myself and have fun as well.
[upbeat music]
So I spent 80K on clothing
and if you know me, I consider myself a fashionable person.
You know I like to style out on game day,
putting out pieces together.
You know, you look good, you feel good, you play good.
I believe in that motto and that saying.
So every Sunday I gotta come out looking sharp,
looking dapper.
I had this nice Louis Vuitton fur coat
that I walked out of Halloween, I'd say like two years ago
I had a Chucky mask song with it too, it was pretty dope!
I had spent it on another Da Vinci jacket.
It was like a purple fur coat. It was on my Instagram post.
Go check it out.
Yeah, man, I just love fashion.
I think what it brings to the table,
it just represents me staying classy, staying sharp,
and staying smooth at the same time.
So a lot of my personality comes out when I wear fashion.
I probably went over another 100K
on more clothes as well too.
But you know, we could talk about that
another time. [scoffs]
I'm looking to add to more of my bag collection.
I got a lot of Goyard cross-body bags,
a lot of duffel bags as well too
so I think I'm gonna add a little bit
to the Goyard accessories.
Last thing I'll say is for all you
that's watching this video, be financially responsible.
Fortunately for me, I got a financial team with me.
It's always a good thing to have a good team on your side
because, you know, you spend money,
you don't realize what I could save on,
what I can invest in.
Not only would it set you up for the future,
but it would teach you
how to finance your money the right way.
