The best part of working at GQ? Everyone sitting to the right and left of you is the flyest person you’ve ever met. The worst part of working at GQ? Everyone sitting to the right and left of you…is the flyest person you’ve ever met. In our offices, getting dressed is an Olympic-level pursuit, and the competition is fiercer than the Milano Cortina qualifying rounds.
So we asked four of the most ferocious dressers at GQ HQ—commerce directors Michael Nolledo and Reginald Christian, plus senior commerce editors Ian Burke and Avidan Grossman—to spend a couple of hours doing what they do best: online shopping. The result is a snapshot of the state of menswear today, sourced directly from the brains that determined what you’ll be wearing this winter—and six months from now, too.
You can shop the lot of it in their Wish List boutiques, an all-killer, no-filler assortment that spans new arrivals, perennial go-tos, and personal grails—owned, coveted, and painstakingly curated by us. Keep scrolling for a sneak peek at our selects, and check back here throughout the season as more of our colleagues get in on the action.

I am actively seeking a sweater in the perfect shade of pale yellow. Maybe it's me manifesting spring early like an optimistic crocus, but goddamn if morale doesn't need a boost. I've got running thoughts that a soft hit of color can wake up the rest of a winter palette (charcoals, dusty browns, deep indigos) and tide me over until things thaw out.

My ever-evolving quest to answer my personal style questions has turned into a career of answering them for other folks, too. So after years of searching, I've embraced the challenge of pulling together a wish list that satisfies my appetite for newness—and just might reduce the friction along your own shopping journey.
Here's what I'm eyeing, buying, and wearing this season, from winter coats that promise to stop passersby dead in their tracks to plush cashmere sweaters you can throw on every day of the week without a second thought. Consider this an insider's guide to what to populate your closet with right now.

I wouldn’t consider myself as obsessive as my counterparts on the style team, but as the saying goes, if you dance with the snakes in the snake pit, you're gonna get slithered on. So as my level of shopping acumen increases, so do my winter layers, along with the hassle of alternate side parking in the snow, the volume of my puffer jackets, and the number of frothy pints I'll be sinking in local corner pubs.
So here's a rundown of my picks: This year, I’m busting out the boots and topping off my ties with a few more options that look straight out of a New England boarding school. (You’ll see some aspirational jeans in there, too.) Am I as savvy about selvedge as some of my colleagues? No—OrSlow I thought. Because winter ’26 is when I’m getting in on A.P.C. of the action to cement Our Legacy as a brand full of denimheads with a Kapital D.

If wishes were fishes, the saying goes, we'd all cast nets. That old chestnut has been rattling around my brain for the last few weeks as I casted as wide a net as possible to populate my wish list. The items aggregated here represent a pretty decent snapshot of what I actually want to wear right now: tweedy blazers, scuzzy flannels, Zizmor-coded dad caps accessorized with a smirk (or, alternatively, a tie.)
Here's everything else I'm eyeing this winter, including a decadent shearling coat I definitely can't afford, a fraying crewneck sweatshirt I probably can't afford, and a single pair of rock-god leather pants I can afford…but almost wish I couldn't. Kindly put me out of my misery, folks—in a week's time, I hope the whole lot of it is sold out.
