So here's a rundown of my picks: This year, I’m busting out the boots and topping off my ties with a few more options that look straight out of a New England boarding school. If wishes were fishes, the saying goes, we'd all cast nets. That old chestnut has been rattling around my brain for the last few weeks as I casted as wide a net as possible to populate my wish list. The items aggregated here represent a pretty decent snapshot of what I actually want to wear right now: tweedy blazers, scuzzy flannels, Zizmor-coded dad caps accessorized with a smirk (or, alternatively, a tie.)
Here's everything else I'm eyeing this winter, including a decadent shearling coat I definitely can't afford, a fraying crewneck sweatshirt I probably can't afford, and a single pair of rock-god leather pants I can afford…but almost wish I couldn't. Kindly put me out of my misery, folks—in a week's time, I hope the whole lot of it is sold out.
